Founded in Bintulu in 2022, Lawan Lawan is the only BJJ and grappling gym in the area. We exist to make practical self-defence accessible to everyone — zero experience required. We've built a structured program that takes complete beginners and turns them into grapplers. Kids, adults, working parents, MMA fighters — if you can show up, we'll take care of the rest.
Jiu jitsu is a conversation, not a fight. Tap, reset, learn. Every roll is an opportunity — from your partner, your mistakes, the position you're in.
Fathers and sons, beginners and purple belts, desk workers and athletes — same mat, same respect. No hierarchy outside what you earn through honest training.
We drill fundamentals until they're reflex. Technique compounds over time. Show up consistently — the progress takes care of itself.
Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the gi. Positions, submissions, sweeps — taught methodically. All levels welcome, beginners start here.
No gi, no problem. Pure grappling — the foundation of every MMA fighter's ground game. If you're training MMA or want to, this is where Bintulu's grapplers build their base. The only place in Bintulu that teaches it.
Structured for children aged 6 and up. Coordination, confidence, and respect — through games, movement, and technique. No experience needed.
